F.O.G. is an atmospheric cavity, a membrane that breathes through rhythms of expansion and contraction. It is inhabited by echoes of countless voices without defined bodies. The F.O.G. connects and relates them all, governing this cyclical cavity’s reality. When the membrane expands, the particles drift far and wide apart, becoming almost translucent. When expanded, the voices sing without direction, loud, dispersed and lost.

When the membrane contracts, the fog condenses. It touches every voice, giving form to bodies and shapes. Through density, repetition, and rhythm, a sonic structure emerges. The plurality of voices can now hear one another; they attune and begin to sing in whispers. Communication becomes possible in these moments of intimacy and proximity. Together, they try to learn a song, a message carrying a memory from either the future or the past. Each time coming and becoming in a new way. Resting and resetting. What entails a body? Who regulates proximity? What is lost when we fully synchronize?
